Generic Lipitor (Atorvastatin, Lipitor® equivalent)

Lipitor is a prescription medication used along with an overall diet plan in order to lower the patient's level of cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart attack. It has been proven to help reduce patients' LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels significantly, as well as help in maintaining the low levels in the long term. Lipitor belongs to a class of medications known as statins, which work by blocking an enzyme in the liver that is used in the production of LDL ("bad") cholesterol. The body then produces less LDL, and the level of LDL cholesterol in the blood decreases.

AGE AND BEHAVIOR: PROCESSING SENSE INFORMATION - SEQUENTIAL INTEGRATION - STIMULUS MASKING AND STIMULUS ENHANCEMENT

There is a type of experiment that bears relationship to fusion experiments. Instead of investigating steady-state stimulation arising from a series of discrete but identical stimuli, masking of the first stimulus (or enhancement of it) is investigated as a result of a second but different stimulus. In the masking study the first stimulus (called the test or target stimulus) is masked by a second stimulus (called masking stimulus) presented shortly afterward. In the enhancement study, the second stimulus is integrated with the first one, providing a new dimension. In the fusion experiments, as in CFF, the trace of the first stimulus is presumed to persist long in old age and to combine with an identical stimulus trace formed soon afterward. The thinking is the same in the masking and enhancement studies: The effect of the first stimulus is long lasting in old age. Stimulus persistence theory receives confirmation when older people experience the effects of the first stimulus for a relatively long while after it has terminated. If the trace of the first stimulus takes long to "clear through" the nervous system (even when the physical stimulus is no longer present), then the second stimulus will mask the first one, or enhance it, depending on its nature. *185\220\8*
